Parts Inventory Clerk (1st Shift)

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Parts Inventory Clerk to support our Autonomous Vehicle fleet.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!

1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Shift times may vary)

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday

40 hours a week, opportunities for overtime could be available

Experience related to this position:

· Material handling of Hardware including but not limited to: shipping, receiving, labeling, inspection, barcoding, spreadsheet tracking, RMA requests, disposing, and general fulfillment tasks

· Conduct inventory counts, mitigate inventory variance risk and maintain system accuracy.

· Work with key stakeholders to understand special fulfillment needs and requirements.

· Partake in space planning for storage and incoming orders.

· Owns the logistical requirements that support our team to include tire runs, shuttling materials among locations, coordinating mail room drop-offs using Cruise non-AV vehicles.

· Pick up packages directly from members of the Central Operations Team and transfer them to another of our many locations.

· Ensure timely delivery of external shipments to our mailroom if they are being transferred from a location without an onsite mailroom.

· Ensure that the company vehicle that is being utilized for transportation (non-AV) remains charged and clean at all times.

· Alert operations team if vehicle needs maintenance or servicing of any kind

· Alert team members if there are delays in transportation or if any accidents occur in transport.

· Maintain excellent communication with team members about possible interferences or suggestions on how to improve our processes with transportation or logistics

· Work with Inventory Management team to receive parts, inspect, maintain record, and alert appropriate stakeholders when necessary

· Conduct general fulfillment tasks such as preparing goods for shipment and ensuring packaging requirements are met

· Work with Mailroom to ship parts as needed including: RMA requests, location transfer requests, and others

· Order materials as needed

· Ensure all inventory movement is captured systematically, keeping with documentation and record keeping procedures

· Assist with Inventory Management team to implement physical space buildout

· General aid in material handling tasks

· Ensuring timely delivery of and transportation  of tires both mounted on rims and loose to other Cruise facilities and external vendors that service our Avs

· Lift and carrying items up to 50 pounds. Items weighing more than 50 pounds should be lifted with assistance.

Requirements:

· Prioritize safety and maintain a safety-first mindset, while following all safe work practices and policies

· Observe all safety standards. Maintain a secure, safe, clean, and healthy work environment. Follow operating instructions, use PPE as required, and use equipment and materials properly. Actively strive to prevent accidents and injuries.

· Ability to operate computer-based programs/spreadsheets

· Basic understanding of material flow from incoming receipts to inspection to end user

· Operate warehouse equipment, including but not limited to a forklift, pallet jack, pallet stacker, etc.  Training and certification will be provided.

· Standing for 30 minutes to an hour at a time, multiple times during an 8-hour shift

· Walking for 30 minutes to an hour at a time, multiple times during an 8-hour shift

· Regularly perform physical work including, but not limited to, squatting, stooping/bending, lifting, and moving/carrying up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to use a laptop, keyboard, and monitor for up to eight hours per shift

· Ability to give and receive clear, prompt, understandable verbal and written communication

· High attention to detail

· Satisfy the legal requirements to become an AV Test Operator (13 CCR § 227.34), including being licensed to drive a motor vehicle in the U.S. for the three years immediately preceding your application, currently holding an active California Basic Class C driver's license or license encompassing Class C vehicles, and no more than one point on driving record

· Successfully complete a background check, drug screen and DMV Motor Vehicle Record check
