Service and Parts Director oversees the employee & customer experience of our fixed operations portion of our dealership. The Service and Parts Director oversees all fixed operations employees: technicians, detailers, service advisor, and parts manager.
The customer experience includes but is not limited to, being the senior point of contact for fixed operations, overseeing the timely repair and inspection of the company vehicles, ensuring proper follow up with customers and company vehicles, ensuring all individuals within the fixed operations department are following through with their duties.
Activity goals:
- 100% of all customers having knowledge of their vehicle without having to call us
- 100% of all customers vehicles properly fixed the first time
- 100% of all GM courses completed for yourself and all Technicians
- 100% of all customers contacted back within 10 minutes
Routine:
- 1 on 1 with general manager once per week to review customer & vehicle part related issues
- 1 on 1 with sales manager daily to discuss vehicles they have as a priority to complete
- Making proper & timely documentation within the DMS & ensuring all staff is complying
- Ensure all paperwork completed promptly and daily hours sheet sent to General Manager & Owner
- Pass out a daily list of vehicles each tech needs to work on
- Keep shop and work area clean (this includes dedicating at least one day a week to cleaning service department and detail areas)
- Actively manage parts inventory for availability and obsolescence
- Prioritize parts responsiveness to dispatcher and technicians
