We are seeking a Part-time Mail Clerk to join our growing insurance company located just one mile south of Chicago's Midway Airport!

Description: The Mail Clerk will contribute to the overall team goals and perform functions to ensure efficient operations of the mail center.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Pitney Bowes Connect 3000 machine and inserter to process a variety of daily documents. Training will be provided.
• Record daily production counts and reports for flats and regular mail.

Other Responsibilities:

• Open, fill, print, sort, separate, and stamp agency mail, invoices, and supply orders.
• Support production tasks such as processing print and copy orders in an efficient, accurate manner while managing projects within established production procedures.
• Assist with preparing bulk mailings including mail merge addressing of envelopes, collating, inserting, and postage metering.
• Professionally interact with all levels of personnel as well as customers and vendors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment with strict confidence regarding information contained in assigned work.
• Break down boxes and sweep work area as needed.
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned and required.

• Possess self-initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Ability to anticipate needs and complete important tasks without assistance.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude preferred.
• Experience using and maintaining Pitney Bowes Connect 3000 and 1000 machines a plus.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs.
• Valid state driver's license, with no to minimal citations/accidents in the last 3 years.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Flexibility and skill in handling multiple projects.
