Company Description

We are a stealth mode startup in the greater Boston area developing eVTOL passenger vehicles with a novel Vertical Flight Propulsion/Guidance System for deployment in the burgeoning Urban Air Mobility Space.

Our innovative startup seeks driven, high performance, high energy independent achievers who can work in a multidisciplinary team to build a groundbreaking electric VTOL platform that will be the foundation for a range of high performance ultra quiet Vertical Flight Systems.

Job Description

We are looking for a part-time, contract, or graduate level intern engineer with a strong background in state-space simulation analysis and design. Additionally any background in full wave, low-frequency computational electromagnetics is a strong added value for the role. The main responsibilities of this role will directly support the development of our proprietary electromagnetics simulation engine.

  • Circuit State-Space Simulation Analysis and Design
    • Building and debugging customized state-space models of medium sized circuit models
    • Running numerical simulation and transient analysis of linear/nonlinear circuits and linearization/stabilization techniques
    • Coupling multiple simulation environments together and formatting co-simulation architectures
  • Electromagnetics Simulations (finite element)
    • Conducting FEA electromagnetics simulations, preferably within COMSOL. Ansys Maxwell, Altair Flux, JSOL JMAG, Siemens MagNET, Dassault Opera are fine equivalents.
    • Formulating, meshing, debugging, and analyzing three-dimensional problems relating to electric motors and their control

Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or Electromechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink
  • Experience with State-space simulation analysis and design
  • Experience with Analog Circuit simulation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of algorithms and techniques used in finite element simulations of electromagnetic problems
