Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)
Under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Order Processing, the position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of custom commercial skylight product projects. This includes ensuring consistency with company strategy, customer expectations and operational goals. This individual will coordinate project management activities ensuring schedules, resources, communication, mitigation of risks and alignment with stated project objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review customer’s project specification documents and ensure our compliance where relevant to our products.
- Reading and understanding complex architectural, structural and construction drawings.
- Manage multiple product projects at one time with minimal supervision with critical accuracy.
- Tracks and escalates action items, monitors project delivery and client satisfaction, and communicates with all appropriate levels of management, subject matter experts and clients.
- Assist engineering team in identification of potential technical issues during the initial proposal stages to ensure customer’s intent is accurately defined on submittal drawings.
- Assist in purchasing functions of specialty products and project glazing which can include negotiating agreements and advising management on procurement and contract change control processes.
- Communicate with all internal and external customers as required to ensure that all technical questions are resolved promptly and accurately upon customer demand.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Rotate with Project Management Team in attending weekly Quality Meetings and provide responses through communication with Project Management Team.
- Contribute to Project Management processes, documentation and method improvements.
- Routinely review information in the Project Management Queue and address potential issues or missing information.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Project Management.
Qualifications:
- An Associate Degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering field or Project Management is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of applied industrial experience in Project Management is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a strong understanding and ability to read complex architectural, structural and construction drawings.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as the ability to articulate thoughts clearly, concisely and professionally.
- Must have applied experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Experience in SAP and C4C is preferred.
- Experience in CAD and Solid Works is preferred.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in areas of limited standardization. This includes the ability to effectively review Customer’s project specification documents and ensure our compliance where relevant to our products.
- Must demonstrate the capabilities of managing multiple projects and developing timelines for complex projects. This includes ability to manage and measure work progress and communicate project status.
- Overall good work, attendance and safety record.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
- Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.

Pay: $32.45 - $48.69 per hour
