Khurana Family Eye Care is a newly established private practice located within a Costco. We are looking for a talented OD to join our busy, growing practice! We provide a friendly, professional atmosphere and offer competitive pay! This is a great opportunity for anyone that has wanted to be a part of a new, growing practice! We have an experienced optometric optician who works up patients for the doctor. Current equipment includes an auto-refractor, NCT, digital lensometer, and Daytona Optos.
*Even if you cannot commit to permanent part-time help, please consider filing in for any of the Fridays or Saturdays below. Or send your resume if you'd like to fill on on occassion.
We are also flexible with considering other schedule requests for the permanent part-time opportunity (such as every other weekend and a 3rd day during the week) but occasional weekend help is the priority!
Fridays $80/hour, Saturdays $100/hour
Regular duties will include:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Diagnose & assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Promote healthy vision through counseling & educating patients
- Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, & progress
- Handle eyecare emergencies
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
- Valid IL license to practice optometry
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A strong sense of workplace professionalism & personal ethics
- Familiarity with EMR for patient documentation
This is an excellent opportunity for an O.D. interested in supplementing their income or looking to add part-time hours to their schedule. We are looking for every other Friday (10am-7pm) and Saturday (9:30am-4pm) so just two weekends per month! Need for additional hours may be possible if interested. Ready for immediate hire.
Optional fill in dates if you cannot commit to permanent part time:
We need a fill in doctor for Friday May 30th and Saturday June 1st.
Saturday July 15th.
Saturday July 22nd.
Friday July 28th and Saturday July 29th.
