This is an exciting opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific where you will support the manufacturing staging department by staging materials required by production to meet on time delivery to our customers. This is a 2nd shift role, Monday-Friday 2pm - 10:30pm.

What will you do:

• Stages material required for scheduled work orders, either manufactured or purchased components, to meet production schedules.
• Request the transfer of raw materials from the Warehouse and allocate to work orders.
• Release staged Work Orders to manufacturing.
• Communicate with Manufacturing personnel, the planning department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.
• Provides input and recommendations in improving supply chain strategies, policies and practices to achieve Best-in-Class Supply Chain Management.
• Participates in problem resolution activities to insure timely deliveries.
• Support back-order reduction efforts.
• Assure proper storage and thawing procedures of all RM and FG.
• Segregate quarantined and nonconforming materials.
• Assist in cycle counts, and/or physical inventory and inventory accuracy.
• Complete 5S audits.
• Update various schedules to indicate work order and Material Transfer Request progress.
• Unissue unused materials from completed work orders.
• Prepare return Material Transfer Requests to send materials back to the DC.
• Verification of issued and staged materials to match with the Bill of Materials.
• Verification of materials returned to the DC.
• Complete all required trainings on or before the due dates.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Minimum of 0-2 years related experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong analytical skills, combined with practical intuition for business.
• Demonstrated ability to form relationships across various functional teams.
• Proven ability in handling multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Shown ability in working well in a global organization within Operations and with external clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks with input/guidance from supervisor.
• Ability to thrive in a matrix and cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to work overtime as needed including Saturday and Sunday
• Other duties as assigned.
