Job description
Responsible for Field operations in the Kinta area in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Duties include: operation of compressors, engines, auxiliary units, turbines, motors, cooling equipment, pumps, seals, valves and related equipment.
Essential duties and responsibilites:
- Responsible for monitoring and controlling process variables, such as pressure, temperature, gas quality, and flow rates to efficiently achieve desired operating results.
- Start, stop and operate engines/pumps and other equipment to maintain designated operating parameters.
- Perform maintenance and major repairs, with the assistance of others, on compressors, engines, turbines, auxiliary equipment, pumps, process controls, and related equipment.
- Ensure the cost effective and efficient performance of all units and associated equipment.
- Perform pipeline surveys, maintenance (pigging) weekly or as required.
- Monitors quality of product to ensure meeting specifications and takes appropriate actions when out of specification product is identified.
- Communicates with company control centers, business groups and other operating groups as necessary.
- Oversee the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
- Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports, documentation and filing paperwork.
- Must actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties and applicable to the job classification
- Completion of any site specific technical training may be applicable
Job Requirements (specific experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions)
- Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software).
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge and ability reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Be available for and provide emergency response after regular business hours which will require carrying a communication device.
Live within a reasonable proximity of the Kinta area to limit after hour call out response times.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge (above the minimum requirements; not required, but advantageous in this position)
- Detailed knowledge of natural gas compressor stations, terminal, gathering field.
- Detailed knowledge of natural gas measurement and balancing.
- Experience analyzing, trouble shooting, adjusting, and making minor repairs on compressor engines, pumps and associated equipment.
- Experience in Maximo, OpsInfo and SCADA.
- Above average computer knowledge, and skills.
Working conditions / Physical demands:
- Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to frequently, enter confined spaces, climb to and work from elevated platforms, excavated areas, ladders, stairwells, walkways, etc
