POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supporting the banner Leadership team by providing business data analytics, aggregation, workload planning and field communications guidance. Serves as a consultant to leaders delivering data-backed recommendations and serves as a subject matter expert in the strategic planning process around department and Company initiatives. Acts as liaison between Operations and business partners. Project Manager oversees mid-to-high level initiatives with store-facing impact. Responsible for review and approval of field communications, including content creation (infographics, playbooks, Workplace, etc.). Facilitates training creation and execution. Manages and develops Workload Planning Specialist and Communications Specialist roles. Ambassador for change management for new policies and procedures. Knowledgeable on in-store technology and educates on new/emerging technology.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide project management leadership to the banner Operations and Operations Administration teams through business analytics, process and policy knowledge, and field feedback in order to support initiatives impacting the departments.
  • Partner with other functional teams (e.g. Merchandising, Store Operations, Supply Chain, IT, DSC, HR, etc.) to identify and deliver projects vital to supporting the banner operations organization in driving both sales and profit initiatives.
  • Oversees the successful completion of projects. Responsible for the creation, organization, execution and completion of specific projects. This includes managing team members, setting deadlines, communicating with company executives about the state of the project, ensuring projects stay on track and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements.
  • Accomplish department objectives by managing the Operations Banner team – this includes recruiting and hiring for any open positions, training and providing career development opportunities for the Workload Planning Specialists and Communications Specialists.
  • Creates and maintains statistical reporting to monitor banner field team member performance against identified KPIs. Partners with banner Leadership to develop strategic plans to achieve KPI goals by identifying trends in performance, marketing, merchandising, etc.
  • Consult and contribute to Operations’ special projects, completing tasks as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree

Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in Operations and/or analyst role, and proven history of superior performance

Technical/Other Skills Required: Advanced knowledge of O365 apps (Power Point, Excel, and Access with VBA, Sharepoint, Teams, Forms/Power Automate) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently. Professional, tactful approach and positive, collaborative image when representing Store Operations. Ability to understand and explain detailed information regarding policies/procedures, systems and/or project initiatives. Experience with business analysis software (Alteryx, Business Objects, Tableau), Adobe Suite and Smartsheet a plus. Experience with Signet’s POS/X-Store systems and other store systems a plus.
