Amerilab Technologies is a growing and leading US manufacturer in the development, manufacturing, and packaging of effervescent tablets, and effervescent and non-effervescent powders in stick packs and sachets, and we are currently seeking skilled and experienced Operations Financial Analyst to join our team.


Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm


This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing material and process costs incurred in the manufacturing of nutritional supplements. The Senior Operations Analyst will perform data analysis of procurement, overhead and manufacturing processes to develop cost models for ongoing and new business opportunities. He/she will work closely and collaboratively with manufacturing, finance, and process management personnel to understand current process flow, evaluate for process improvements, and identify cost savings opportunities.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development of cost models and the costing process for new and existing client products.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reporting package for all cost of goods sold line items.
  • Prepare quarterly margin reviews with supply chain, sales, and finance counterparts to highlight significant cost drivers and pricing recommendations.
  • Plan, collect and analyze procurement and production data to determine actual resources and costs associated in manufacturing products.
  • Review procurement practices for raw material, packaging and consumables used in the manufacturing workflow.
  • Monitor cycle counting to ensure it is carried out to an established cadence and that differences are reconciled, investigated, and adjusted. When necessary, support physical inventory counts.
  • Perform analysis of inventory position and review for excess and obsolete and discuss with operations and business personnel to make recommendation for disposition.
  • Work with manufacturing personnel to analyze current process flows for more efficient options.
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and yields and prepare monthly and quarterly reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs to aid in process improvements.
  • Perform cost observations on manufactured products to validate and cost consumptions for material, labor and overhead.
  • Participate in design, implementation, and maintenance of BOM, routings, and costing in Sage (ERP system.)
  • Prepare and post Cost of Goods Sold and Inventory general ledger adjustments.
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reporting for management to assist with the profitable operation of the company as requested.

  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education / Experience / Certifications:

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance required. Advanced degree and/or CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related manufacturing industry experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Skills Required:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency of computer skills to include MS office and integrated ERP systems with exposure to SAGE.
  • Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gatherings and analysis
  • Capable of interaction at all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
