Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations including patient registration, office appointment and surgery scheduling, incoming patient calls, and medical records management. Ability and willingness to perform patient registration, schedule patients, accept payment, and scan a medical record alongside your team as needed.
  • Interview, hire and train new staff in collaboration with Human Resources. Lead, develop, and coach staff and foster a team-oriented and positive culture.
  • Ensure cost effective staffing coverage based on clinic needs.
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding patient accounts, billing concerns/reports, contracts, regional budget, and related financial activities.
  • Ensures patient and referral satisfaction, including troubleshooting complaints and developing improvements to prevent recurrence
  • Directs the development and implementation of organizational procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization.
  • On a regular basis this individual will monitor, analyze, and communicates practice progress to physician and business leadership. evaluates facility and technology needs to ensure practice operates at optimal efficiency.
  • Ensures staff compliance and adherence to organizational structure, management philosophy, and mission statement.
  • With leadership support is responsible for all practice staff, including recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing evaluation of performance.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years prior experience in a healthcare office
  • Previous leadership experience in managing a medical office or healthcare related setting
