About the Position

The Office of the County Council is seeking to hire a Legislative Services Coordinato r (LSC) to serve as the receptionist and perform advanced administrative support to a team of legislative analysts and/or attorneys supporting the work of the County Council.

Receptionist Job Duties Include :

  • Welcome visitors by greeting them in a warm and friendly manner, and directing them appropriately
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
  • Inform visitors by answering or referring inquiries
  • Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
  • Respond to inquiries from constituents, citizens groups, County government officials and business organizations
  • Prepare and process Council and Committee staff reports
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

We are seeking a candidate with four (4) or more years of administrative/office support experience/ Must have completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion recognized in the State of Maryland. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted.

  • Experience providing front desk support;
  • Experience providing office and administrative support;
  • Experience proofreading and editing;
