This is a Full Time position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• The licensed occupational therapist is responsible for the evaluation, treatment plan, treatment implementation, and supervision of treatment as ordered by a licensed physician or appropriate non-physician practitioner.
• Compliance with the practice act of Texas State Board of Occupational therapy, regulatory agencies, payer guidelines, and policies and procedures of the department is maintained through all levels and arenas of patient care.
• All staff responsibilities include the provision of optimal patient care in a safe and appropriate manner, accurate and complete documentation, interdisciplinary collaborative care, and cooperative function of the department and the hospital district.

The licensed occupational therapist is responsible for assisting with all other aspects of department function when primary responsibilities have been completed. These may include participation in quality control, performance improvement processes, staff development, compliance processes, program development, and assistance to other staff members for completion of their primary responsibilities.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BS, MS, or Doctorate in Occupational therapy
