Job Title: Nursing Manager/Director

Job Summary:

The Nursing Manager/Director in Chillicothe, OH is responsible for overseeing the operations of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care is provided, and developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures. They also maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and work with the interdisciplinary team in managing clinical programs.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
• Ensure quality patient care is being provided by nursing staff
• Manage the daily operations of the nursing department
• Participate in the recruitment, selection, and retention of nursing staff
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance
• Manage the department budget
• Establish and maintain effective communication with the interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate and manage clinical programs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards
• Develop and implement staff development programs
• Oversee infection control and maintenance of medical equipment
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff and administration
• Respond to patient complaints and concerns

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's degree preferred
• Active nursing license in the state of Ohio
• At least five years of nursing experience, with two years in a management or leadership role
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing practices
• Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Computer skills, including proficiency in electronic health records
