Nuclear Medicine Technologist, CT Technologist - Travel
Rochester, NY.
Blended Rate: $3600/hr - $3800/wk.
Stipend: $1281/wk.
13-week contract.
5x8s – 40hrs – Days – Mon-Fri
** BLS, NY License, 2 years’ experience, Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or ARRT.**

Job Summary:
Selected candidate will use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues. A CT scan technologist must be able to accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. Generally speaking, a CT technologist should be in good health because maneuvering equipment and patients who are disabled may pose physical challenges. CT scanners emit radiation, which can be harmful for the technologist and patient if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
· Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
· Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
· Ensures proper imaging techniques related to patients age and ability to understand procedure (sight, hearing needs, ability to cooperate) to ensure image quality is successfully obtained.
· Reviews patient information and interpretation of data to confirm an appropriate plan and intervention specific for age related needs and provision of care.
· Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
· Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.
· Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.
· Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
· Orders, prepares, administers, stores and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and applicable regulations/standards.
· Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
· Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms.
