The Program Assistant will be part of a team that is focused on helping families to meet their nutrition goals. As a Program Assistant you will perform all quality assurance activities, income assessment and certification, issue benefits for healthy foods and support family needs through referrals.

The Program Assistant will perform reception duties, be responsible for quality assurance activities, process applicants/participants for (re)certification following all protocols and/or regulations, make referrals to Mass Health, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Transitional Aid to Families of Dependent Children (TAFDC) programs as well as other Community Action and health and human service programs.

Minimum requirements include High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year general office experience with proficient computer skills. Bilingual skills English/Portuguese and/or English/Spanish desired. Must have reliable transportation to travel to and perform work at multiple WIC sites including Gloucester, Beverly, and Amesbury. Position is 24 hrs./wk. $17.98 per hour dependent upon education and experience.

The position require a successful completion of a backgrounds record check. The position will remain open until filled.
