We currently have an opening in our Global Insurance Innovation Group as a Product Development Architect.
As a New Product Development Architect, you will design and develop sustainable and scalable specialty products and new go-to-market strategies that meet the needs of HSB and the market. Through forward-thinking research and development, you will provide critical inputs into HSB’s future products and business strategies and play a key role in enabling the continued profitable growth of HSB.
You will be responsible for the new product innovation development journey from concept through launch, and as part of that process, collaborate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure the product is optimally designed and all operational aspects are considered. After product launch, you will provide thought-leadership, consultation and advice to the business to optimize the product based on customer feedback and to meet performance expectations.
As a product champion, you will engage with internal and external product development teams, innovation groups, thought leaders and stakeholders to build excitement and interest in future products and ensure the end customer benefits are understood by our distribution partners.
The New Product Development Architect plays a key role in ideation by owning one or more Innovation Themes. As such, you will be a thought-leader, and, based on an understanding of the topic, scope, emerging risks, market intelligence and customer needs, you will generate concepts for future products that align with HSB’s overall strategic objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Insurance or related field is required
- 8+ years’ experience in P&C Insurance industry is required, preferably in Product Development, Underwriting, Finance, Claims or a combination thereof.
- Master’s degree or JD is strongly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team environment through strong collaboration and influencing skills- Ability to blend technological, legal/regulatory, financial, operational and business complexity
