This position will support Northwest Oregon Area with the possibility of working remote out of one of the Northwest Oregon Area Districts.

Your New Role - Forest Practices Act Field Coordinator
- As the Forest Practices Act Field Coordinator (FPA) you will help support and coordinator with the Field Foresters and other district staff to implement the Forest Practices Act.
- Analyze issues related the Oregon Forest Practices Act, determine feasibility of policy options and make policy recommendations.
- Implement policies and rules through development of guidance, administration procedures, field support, or other means.
- Coordinate the Forest Practices Act with other agencies' programs that must be considered during operations on forest land.
- Facilitate additional voluntary practices through cooperative means.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years of experience in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related subject matter field AND a Bachelor's degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related subject matter field. At least one year of the experience must be at a technical or professional level performing activities in a natural resource program such as researching and analyzing data, conducting investigations, applying pertinent laws and regulations, or coordinating and monitoring project activities.
OR
- Six years of experience in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related subject matter field.
Note:
- A Master's degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related subject matter field will substitute for up to one year of the required experience.
- A Doctorate degree in Natural Resource Management, Forestry, or related subject matter field will substitute for up to two years of the required experience.
Requested Skills:
- Experience communicating effectively with a variety of others.
- Knowledge of forestry and /or natural resources area relating to the skills for this position.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Experience developing strategies and goals and coordinating policies and operation procedures.
- Experience developing partnerships with other Agencies and stakeholders.
- Experience implementing natural resource laws, rules and regulations.

- Driver’s License Check - This position requires the operation of a state vehicle for the purpose of conducting official State business.
