Marble Ridge Farms is a 4th generation farm that provides premium, raw Wagyu Beef and Pork products to restaurants, food distributors, and through our e-commerce site direct to consumers. We are seeking a B2B distribution/sales supervisor with expertise in the meat industry and a passion for farm to table.
This role will focus on but not be limited to:
- Industry distribution sales - Working closely with national food distributors
- Actively seek new potential customers
- Inventory/Production Management and Inspection
- Consistent communication with slaughter facilities
- New & innovative product development
- Project management to deliver results in established, efficient timeline
Description of Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Product Development & Sales
- Aggressively seek new ways to reach potential customers and partners
- Continuous improvement of current SKU’s as needed
- Work with chef to develop new & innovative sous vide meats, ready-to-eat meals, deli meats etc. as needed
2. Project Management – To deliver results in established timeline
- Understand the business opportunity and to bring clarity to new customer prospects
- Compile all the necessary information on customer requirements
- Process al sales through Order Management System
- Utilize software to maintain accurate inventory
- Build and nurture strong partnerships with suppliers and customers. Maintain positive and professional relationships with people at various levels
- Manage multiple projects at a fast pace with a high level of business intelligence and thought leadership. This will require collaborating and aligning with cross-functional teammates
3. Provide Support to the Organization.
- Assist in day to day operations an as needed basis, including overseeing inventory and quality checks, restocking of front store
- Identify ongoing “continuous improvement” opportunities. Must remain proactive and enjoy finding new and smarter ways to improve products, processes, and systems.
- Participate, facilitate, and support collaborative meetings as needed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Department
- Keep informed of current industry trends, technology, equipment, and innovations.
- Work as a strong team member in a fast-paced environment assisting others as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must have experience in similar role
- Agriculture background and sales background a plus
- Must be passionate about food
- Strong product development and project management skills utilizing data and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of regulatory and food safety requirements.
