Passion Studios is hiring Music Teachers to lead by example in the world of creativity and joy for our members and families. We are proud to be among the top 1% of instruction schools for Simply Music students internationally! Families and students of all ages join our studio to learn and play music for enjoyment in a warm, caring environment with teachers they love.

We are looking specifically for:

• a well-versed pianist or keyboardist who is open to learning new strategies and methods and has the intentionality of modeling teachability for their students. Knowledge and experience with other instruments are preferred but not necessary. We provide all the training needed.

• A proficient guitarist who approaches music learning in a non-traditional approach and is open to new ideas and strategies in the classroom.

• A vocal coach who is looking for new opportunities to grow in a music career and serve the Ankeny area in a playing-based approach.

• A violinist who seeks to bring classical music to Ankeny with a new mindset.

Description

In addition to teaching in a group environment, the Instructor will be responsible for daily practice, professional development, curriculum management, attending events, and other creative aspects. An opportunity to make a positive impact in the community and build strong relationships and life skills with Ankeny families.

• College experience is NOT required.

PLEASE NOTE, ALL APPLICANTS MUST:

• Must include a cover letter
• Must include two references
• Must have prior music lesson experience in some format.
• Must submit at least 3 music recordings showcasing diversity of skill and genre application
• Clear Background Check
• Applicants may set their own schedule but must be available to work between the hours of 3 pm to 8 pm Monday through Thursday, and one Friday per month for an hour.
• Lesson planning and continuing education are additional working hour factors.

Preferred:

• Teaching experience
• Experience with Trello, Google Docs
• Proficient knowledge of other instruments
• Experience playing and teaching other instruments; drums, bass, guitar, ukulele, vocal, etc.

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
