About us

School of Rock Seekonk delivers a revolutionary music program to students from Seekonk and surrounding communities including Providence, Barrington, Rehoboth, Swansea, and Fall River. Our school is proud to offer lessons in guitar, drums, keyboard, vocals, and more taught by practicing, passionate musicians. With enough practice, students may even one day be able to play at notable venues like The Strand Ballroom, Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, Fete Music Hall, The Met, Narrows Center for the Arts, Dunkin Donuts Center, Veterans Memorial Auditorium, and many more.

We are looking for a passionate and engaging music teacher to help our students excel artistically. The ideal candidate is willing to create lesson plans and follow through with students to make sure that they are learning the material, and must be able to treat all students equally and respectfully. The successful music teacher will also ensure that our students are engaged in a positive learning environment and will work with the school principal on curricula objectives. We're looking for a music teacher who is experienced in helping students achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

• Teach music students of all ages the basics of music and how to play an instrument.
• Prepare a lesson plan for each student.
• Work towards students' goals, whether it be progressing to an instrument or learning a song.
• Attend workshops and seminars to increase knowledge.
• Break down complex musical material into manageable chunks, so it is easier for the student to learn.
• Know the fundamentals of music theory and be able to explain them to students.
