The Office of State Human Resources (OSHR), Temporary Solutions Division, is seeking an experienced MS SharePoint Online Architect to redesign the collection of Temporary Solutions SharePoint sites, both internal and public facing, to create a secure, sustainable framework of sites that serve Temporary Solutions agency customers and employees via an intuitive, consistent user interface that helps viewers find the information they need quickly and enables them to seamlessly take necessary actions. OSHR requires a design that utilizes best practices and modern components, while also satisfying ADA compliance and security requirements. This position will be responsible for designing the site structure, navigation, and permissions in a manner that also ensures sustainability and ease of upgrades as Microsoft introduces new products or replaces existing products within the MS Power Platform.


The candidate will work with a Project Manager and Temporary Solutions business users to gather and document business requirements, design the new sites, develop the timeline for implementation, create the new sites and pages, and work closely with the SharePoint Administrator/PowerApps Developer to ensure the applications and flow are built appropriately and the data is successfully migrated from current sites and applications to the newly designed product(s). This position will provide guidance to the PowerApps Developer on best practices for security, design, placement and the workflow of the PowerApps.


This position will also identify new areas and business processes where PowerApps/SharePoint can be leveraged and facilitate continual process improvement. Finally, this position will collaborate with OSHR’s Data Analytics and Governance team to design pages and processes for automatically publishing customer data metrics/dashboards on the SharePoint platform, ensuring the security and navigation follow best practices from a user experience and security perspective.

Required Skills

  • 7 years – Experience developing and supporting large SharePoint Online sites or site collections
  • Solid understanding of SharePoint architecture.
  • Experience managing SharePoint Permissions (Site Permissions, Document Library/List Permissions, Break Inheritance, User Groups)
  • Knowledge of managing SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries. (Filter & Sorting, Custom Views)
  • 7 years - Ability to communicate effectively with technical as well as non-technical staff.
  • 7 years – experience building solutions with JavaScript and HTML, proficient in SharePoint search and metadata, including Site Columns and Content Types.
  • 7 years - Ability to solicit requirements from business users and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Highly Desired Skills

  • Experience publishing PowerBI or Tableau dashboards in SharePoint
  • Experience using 3rd party connectors.
  • Experience working in the HR Domain with knowledge of core HR functions (recruitment, classification, compensation, onboarding, payroll, hiring and other personnel actions, etc.)
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience in State Government
  • GCC or GCC-High experience in the SharePoint Online government cloud
  • MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification
