Job description

1. Target

Perform multiple manufacturing related duties for the completion of product assembly. Duties may include but are not limited to: preparing materials for product assembly, preparing materials for the construction of transformer platforms and cabinetry and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

2.1. Main Tasks

· Determine the tools and equipment needed to do a job

· Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists

· Operate machinery used in the production process

· Assist others as necessary

· Clean and lubricate equipment

· Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected

· Notify supervisor of any equipment malfunctions

· Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards

· Notify supervisor of any nonconformance to product design/quality standards

2.2. Responsibility and Competencies

· Engineering Drawings – Able to understand and correctly interpret complex drawings and instructions

· Precision - Ability to perform precise material preparation and assembly tasks through manual/finger dexterity and arm/hand steadiness

· May perform other related duties as requested to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

3.1. Professional Skills & Education

· GED/HS Diploma Required

· Manufacturing experience

· Controls and Instrumentation, Equipment Maintenance, Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Tooling, Safety Management, Quality Focus, Power Tools, Judgment, Decision Making

4.1. Physical Requirements

· Requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and or ladder use.

· Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. using safe lifting practices

· May requires frequent data entry/keyboarding

· Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust visual focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
