Title: Mill Manager
Duties: The Mill Manager is responsible for the entire production and administrative operation of a fully integrated Pulp & Paper Manufacturing Operation. Responsible for overall safety leadership and management to support a results-oriented manufacturing environment of approximately 300 employees. Ensure compliance with company, local, state and federal safety and environmental regulations. Provide visible and active safety leadership in delivering excellent safety results. Safety advocate to continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee behaviors. Support corporate development initiatives to optimize the business portfolio and overall while maintaining day to day responsibilities for ensuring mill profitability. Lead, plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets. Lead and implement plans and processes to propel world class performance through minimizing manufacturing costs through effective utilization of people, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital. Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards that exceeds customers’ expectations. Supervise preparation of annual operating and capital budget; ensure timely reporting of financial results. Lead strategy development and implementation; ensure resources sufficient to meet site objectives. Lead and implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the mill supports the business’s strategic initiatives. Empower teams to deliver innovative, high quality products, closing competitive gaps and bolstering bottom line financial results. Head the capital allocation process and steering value creation for the company. Establish management practices throughout the mill which encourage and foster employee engagement. Overall responsible for succession planning for leadership positions in mill and opportunities for self- development throughout mill.
Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or related. Must have 15 years of pulp and paper leadership/manufacturing operations experience, including:
- Financial analysis and project management
- Managing production processes, costs, and quality
- Process and quality management system
- Strategic planning and budgeting processes
- Change management
- Lean Six Sigma certified - Green Belt
Must be available for long-term assignments at any International Paper mill.
Salary: $ 242,900 - 404,800 per year
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday
