Middle School Grade 6 Teacher - ELA

Our Lady of the Assumption School is a Catholic Elementary School serving students in Preschool and TK - Grade 8 in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. OLA provides a faith-based, quality education developing the whole child. The School’s Mission Statement reads: Our Lady of the Assumption School commits itself to provide an education based on Catholic values and academic excellence, in a caring and safe atmosphere, in partnership with the family and parish community.

Looking to engage a Middle School Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Subjects include 6th, 7th & 8th grade English Language Art/ Writing curriculum. The ideal candidate enthusiastically supports the mission of the school; holds a California Teaching Credential; has excellent planning and organizational skills; is willing to be an example of good Catholic values; and is ready to create engaging lessons as we educate our students both academically and spiritually.

REQUIREMENTS

• Practicing Catholic

CA teaching credential
Classroom management skills.
Knowledge of Google Classroom and skill in use of instructional technologies.

• Experienced in working with middle school students in a classroom setting
• Is proficient in using technology and other online platforms
• Demonstrates effective classroom management
• Possesses a positive attitude, resiliency, and a desire for professional growth
• Is open to learn from students and colleagues and is collaborative

Ability to meet with students. families, teams after school as needed

Wage Range $43,000 - $52,000 Salary Range

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
