Peraton is seeking a Mid-level Security Administrator to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.The ideal candidate would be experienced in Tenable Security Center, Nessus scanners, CCE and CVE, STIG compliance and working knowledge of security configuration and vulnerability management with a focus on Linux, Windows, databases, and network and security equipment. Must possess good communication skills with ability to communicate professionally with individuals of differing business levels on a day to day basis.

Day to Day Work Responsibiities:

• Working with the Tenable Security Center and Nessus scanning software.
• Installation and addition of new scanners to Tenable.SC, building and executing online and offline scans, managing assets, users, and policies
• Performing upgrades to the scanners and Tenable.SC, creating, modifying and scheduling scan jobs, and creation of reports from Tenable.SC.
• Use knowledge of CIS and STIG compliance guidelines to edit audit files in Tenable.SC

• U.S. Citizenship required; The ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years experience or MS degree and 3-5 years experience or a high school diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant expereince.
• Must have ability to develop strategic objectives with experience in building and refining work processes along with developing procedures for smooth implementation of changes. Able to do root cause analysis, direct changes and report findings.
• Should have general knowledge of commercially available network diagnostic tools and ability to use tools to document network performance.
• General job skills must include proficiency with use of Windows (Unix/Linux a plus), MS Office, MS Outlook and other administrative software tools.
• Must understand business security requirements, be able to work with customers, and possess problem-solving skills.

• Must have experience with Tenable.SC and Nessus

• Must have experience with scanning for vulnerabilities

• Must have experience with scanning for system configuration baseline compliance

• Understand CCE and CVE as they relate to various platforms. Prior experience performing scanning against large scale server environments is desired.
• Strong oral and written communications skills as well as technical writing skills.
• Experience with managing Linux and Windows servers would be considered a plus.
