Duration: 9 + months

Job Description:

*** requires on site work on Tuesday and Wednesday plus at least one additional day per week. (Subject to change based on team business needs) ***

*** INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1 round panel interview on Zoom (video), possible second interview in person in Dallas. ***

Responsibilities:

· Self-motivated, problem solver with critical-thinking and decision-making skills.

· Understanding of complex business requirements and able to turn them into technical solutions using primarily using Microsoft’s Power Platform

· Translate complex business, functional and technical requirements into custom design and development of Microsoft Power Platform-based applications.

· In depth knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform

· Perform analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of custom developed Microsoft Power Platform-based applications.

· Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications.

· Analyzes functional problems and determines techniques and requirements most feasible for processing the data.

· Develops analytical reports or other products.

· Support existing Power Platform solutions already developed by the team.

· Support projects in development plans, estimation, and code and design reviews.

Experience:

· Build sustainable data pipelines using Power BI dataflows.

o Make connections to a variety of disparate data sources with dataflows including SharePoint online, on-prem databases, and web connections with APIs.

o Develop dataflow using best practices including layered architecture, leveraging enhanced compute engine, performant joins, linked tables, incremental refresh and error handling with try...otherwise

o Write complex SQL queries for relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle

o Write custom M functions where out-of-the-box functions are not sufficient.

· Build Power BI datasets, dashboards, and paginated reports

o Build models according to best practice including star and snowflake schemas,

o Use of relationship modeling DAX functions including but not limited to: RELATED, RELATEDTABLE, USERELATIONSHIP, CROSSFILTER

o Implement Row Level Security

o Build complex DAX functions to create measures, calculated columns, and new tables

o Build a variety of out-of-the-box and custom visualizations. Provide SME guidance on what visualizations to meet business requirements

o Optimize new and existing models and provide best practice guidance including use of the performance analyzer.

o Troubleshoot error messages and perform testing to ensure dashboards are functional.

· Power BI Online Service

o Push reports from Power BI desktop to the Power BI service

o Use Power BI data gateways and schedule refreshes. Troubleshoot refresh error messages

o Administer workspaces including permissions and sensitivity labels.

o Learn new features as they become available such as deployment pipelines and streaming dataflows.

· Power BI Report Builder

o Ability to create and maintain various reports, especially paginated reports, in Power BI Report Builder

· Power Automate

o Create Power Automate Flows that access data from SharePoint Online Lists and Excel files

o Familiar with Power Automate expressions and dynamic content

o Debug Power Automate Flows that may be failing for various reasons

· Power Apps

o Build and maintain Microsoft Power Apps solutions for creating and updating data in SharePoint lists

· Additional Skills

o Significant subject matter expertise in Microsoft O365 Applications, especially Excel

o Demonstrate deep industry knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint Online is a plus.

o Knowledge of HTML especially tables, formatting, and style

o Use of JIRA for project management

· Certification in one or more of the following:

o PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate

o PL-400: Microsoft Power BI Developer

o PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate

o PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer Associate

o PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solutions Architect

o PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals

Skills:

· Certification in one or more of the following:

o PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate

o PL-400: Microsoft Power BI Developer

o PL-400: Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate

o PL-500: Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer Associate

o PL-600: Microsoft Power Platform Solutions Architect

o PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals

Education:

· Bachelors Required.
