Key objectives for this role:
MIC Group is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Welding Department at our location in Brenham, TX. This person will be responsible for preforming welding duties per customer contract requirements. This person must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to be able to assemble the products and deliver specified welding requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform welding duties utilizing GTAW or GMAW processes
• Display proficiency in joining high nickel alloys, aluminum alloys, and titanium alloys.
• Read and understand blueprints, welding symbols per AWS A2.1, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Knowledge of weld qualification requirements for ASME BPVC Section IX and AWS D1 is a plus.
• Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section 2 is a plus.
• CWI Licenses is a plus
• Display proficiency utilizing measuring instruments such as tape measure, square, caliper, and protractor.
• Display safe welding methods and understand OSHA requirements for safe handling of welding equipment.
• Keep a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Have the ability to identify and remove fire hazards in the work area.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and/or weekends as required.
• Display flexible and positive attitude.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Read and understand blueprints
• Any current WPS, WPQ, WPQR per ASME or AWS is a plus.
• Must be able to qualify per ASME BPVC Section IX and AWS D1
• Have the ability to identify root cause of weld defects.

Will have the ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (ANSI Safety Goggles)
