Member Outreach and Education Manager
Job description
MassHealth is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Member Outreach and Education Manager. The Member Outreach and Education Manager reports directly to the Manager of External Training and Communication and oversees the statewide design, development, implementation and evaluation of external outreach strategies, training, community needs, and events.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
- Work closely with senior managers and managers to identify outreach and training priorities for Member Outreach and Education Team, Assisters, and external partners.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate statewide outreach initiatives.
- Supervise and deploy Member Outreach and Education Specialists; evaluate and assign community outreach and training requests to individual trainers; motivate staff to achieve targets and standards; monitor and evaluate individual trainings; and annually evaluate the performance of the Member Outreach and Education Specialist team.
- Direct, assign, and evaluate Member Outreach and Education Team activities. Plan and develop the content and method of on-the-job and continuing training for new and current Member Outreach and Education Specialists; and deliver a variety of trainings.
- Write and/or review, edit, and approve written and on-line training material, communications, and case studies for all aspects of the wide range of complex and continuously evolving MassHealth and ACA programs, policies, and procedures for external partners.
- Support the coordination of all aspects of quarterly Massachusetts Healthcare Training Forum (MTFs) including but not limited to presenting on topics; reviewing and editing all presentations; following up on outstanding questions.

- Capacity to think critically, and ability to nurture critical thinking skills among staff.
- Ability to work effectively with linguistically and culturally diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple, deadline-driven projects with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated coordination, management, and administration abilities, including understanding and managing with data.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; prepare and use charts, graphs, and tables.
