NAU Urology Specialists is currently looking for a MEDICAL SCRIBE to join our growing team! This full time position to follow one Provider. Work mostly in South Austin but will be in Dripping Springs a half day and one day in North Austin, every other week.

Position Description

• Medical transcription for all visit notes between the doctor and patient in the exam room, including any physical exam findings, consultations, labs, X-rays, and other evaluations, as stated by the provider, directly into the medical record
• Prepare plans for follow-up care, as directed by the provider
• Preparation of charts
• Assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Preferred but not required - 2+ years of experience as an Medical Scribe in a medical clinic setting
• Ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate a computer and/or laptop through proficient typing, clicking, and viewing a monitor for extended periods
• Ability to type at least 60 words per minute preferred
• Ability to move about and follow a healthcare provider for extended periods of time
• Ability to read, write, comprehend through listening, and speak fluent English
• BLS certification required upon hire and must be kept current throughout employment

Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
