Medical Billing and Collections

Immediate opening for a Medical Billing and Collections specialist with at least 5 years’ experience.

We are a small OB-GYN office with a single Physician. The job is relaxed, slow paced, and ideal for someone who has years of experience and just wants to enjoy their job in a good working environment. Hours can be flexible. Our current collections associate is retiring after 9 years. We would like someone experienced in Intergy and Greenway as well as E clinical software. Signing Bonus available.

Job duties include:

Insurance verification and inputting the demographics into the computer

Review EOB and ensure they were paid properly

Monitoring claim status and researching rejections

Appeal denials with insurance companies

Assist with referrals and authorization

Manage aging accounts and run aging reports

Send corrected claims and appeals

Accurately documenting the charts

Critical thinking skills

Mathematic skills to record contractual adjustments

Answer patients billing questions
