As we grow our clinic, we are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant who is passionate about customer service, patient care and pursuing a career with our growing organization. Westview Urgent Care is committed to providing exceptional healthcare and looking for a Medical Office Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in Frederick, MD.

***This is 8am - 4:30pm shift, with every other weekend***

In collaboration with our outstanding medical team, this position partners with the team at Westview Urgent Care to provide consistent, high-quality care and service.

Ideal candidate will have an interest in the Medical Assistant role and have the ability to assist the team with coverage as a Medical Receptionist as needed. Competitive pay and benefits included.

Daily activities contributing to excellent teamwork, care and service:

Front office duties, including but not limited to (required):

  • Teamwork and communication
  • Customer service
  • Answering phones
  • Insurance verification
  • Data input
  • Medical records
  • Opening and closing reporting
  • Money handling


Clinical duties, including but not limited to (required):

  • Teamwork and communication
  • Customer service
  • Responsible for documenting within medical records
  • Prepares patients for examination/treatment by appropriately triaging and obtaining medical history
  • Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality
  • Provides appropriate care as guided by the provider(s)

Additional responsibilities:

  • Promotes a positive work attitude within the department and treats associates with respect, dignity, and fairness while maintaining accountability
  • Responds timely to needs of the practice, patients and providers
  • Ensures safe work practices are followed
  • Relays feedback related to opportunities to improve systems and care
  • Adheres to and reinforces all standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Experience: 1 year, required
  • Medical Office Experience: 1 year, required
  • Clinical Experience: 1 year, required
  • Certification Preferred: Medical Certification equivalent to Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, EMT, other
