Comprehensive Urologic Care (CUC) has been treating patients in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs and surrounding area for over 40 years. While remaining an independent, private practice, CUC is affiliated with the Advocate Aurora Good Shepherd and AMITA Health St. Alexius Medical Center. CUC’s mission is to provide the best urologic care available in the Chicago area. Our team is dedicated to treating patients with compassion and respect.
Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) perform clinical and administrative duties under the direction of a physician and/or physician assistant or nurse practitioner. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to work in our Clinical and Procedures areas. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes.
Successful candidate(s) must have strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills and the ability to project a pleasant and professional image while managing multiple priorities. The ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in interating with others is a must.
Other Requirements Include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Medical Assistant Certification & Current CPR Card
- Two years of relevant work experience in a health care organization and a diploma from a Medical Assisting Program
- Some knowledge of insurance practices
- Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn company systems
- Detailed understanding of HIPAA, OSHA, Cybersecurity and FWA practices
- Ability to travel locally between CUC locations (Lake Barrington, Elgin, and Hoffman Estates)
- Strong customer service orientation
- Capable of following instructions
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care procedures
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus
- Urology experience is preferred

Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
