We have a top medical office practice with an immediate need for an experienced MEDICAL ASSISTANT.

Location: West Bloomfield, MI

Specialty: Internal Medicine

Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 5pm

Dress code: Scrubs, provide your own

Job Type: Full-time Contract for 3 months, then convert to perm with Medical Practice.

Job Summary:

• EMR (Nextgen), Vitals, Immunizations, 10-lead EKG
• Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).

Responsibilities:

• Assists with treatments ordered by provider as supervised by provider or registered nurse
• Performs select clinical duties
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients’ charts
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
• May also perform routine office lab tests, EKG's, and other procedures as ordered
• Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment
• May document the provider’s encounter with patients
• Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions, as indicated by the provider
• Transcribes patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications

Required Credential(s):

• BLS or CPR, active by Day 1
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Graduate of certified Medical Assistant training program
• Minimum 3 years as a Medical Assistant
• Skills: Vitals, EKGs, Immunizations
• CMA certification, preferred
