The Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Tech III will be responsible for maintaining and repair of all the Parks various air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems, and associated equipment. This position is an important addition to our Maintenance staff and works in other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Tech III will be responsible for maintaining and repair of all the Parks various air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems, and associated equipment. This position is an important addition to our Maintenance staff and works in other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and servicing of HVAC and related systems.
- Overseeing maintenance programs design to keep the systems in proper working condition.
- Working with the Maintenance Supervisor to assist in maintenance on the Park.
- Working with outside contractors and State Personnel on HVAC and related systems work.
- Follows all departmental rules, regulations, and policies
- Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems. Formal training in one of the areas above will substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.
Working Conditions
May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
