Milton-Freewater Oregon is a multi-cultural community located in the northeast corner of the state within ten miles of Walla Walla Washington. The Milton-Freewater Unified School District is now taking applications for the following position:

Math Teacher - Central Middle School

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of instructional methodologies effective with secondary students.
• Knowledge of student assessment techniques including curriculum based assessment.
• Knowledge of classroom organization and student management techniques.
• Knowledge of planning and implementing instruction.
• Knowledge of Oregon’s curriculum and common core standards and benchmarks.
• Demonstrated skills in providing equitable opportunities for success for all students.
• Ability to work in a cooperative, positive manner with students, staff, parents and community.
• Strong interest and background in content area preferred.
• Experience in using data driven instruction preferred.
• Experience with integrating technology in instruction preferred.
• Experience or training in Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD) and/or Constructing Meaning, and AVID experience preferred.
• Spanish language skills preferred.
• Possess or qualify for Oregon teaching license with appropriate secondary content area endorsement.
• Advanced math endorsement preferred.
• Multiple endorsements preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Position starts fall of 2023. Current salary range is $40,895.00 - $75,423.00 (depending on level of experience and education). The 2023-2024 school year salary will be adjusted pending upcoming negotiations. The Milton Freewater School district offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package that includes:
