Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Math Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. This position is an exempt, 10-month position. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record with experience. This position will report directly to the Upper School Head and/or Middle School Head.

Responsibilities include:

· Teach middle and/or upper-level math courses (Prealgebra, Introduction to Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, or Pre-calculus)

· Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program

· Participate in the school community with other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will possess:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Math required; Master’s Degree preferred; MSDE certification preferred

· Experience in an independent school setting preferred

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and technology skills

· Innovative strategies for multi-sensory instruction of math concepts

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

· Willingness to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, and parents

· Eagerness to embrace the mission and values of Maryvale and our connection to the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur

· A commitment to equity and inclusion and have experience working with a diverse student population

· Commitment to single sex education for young women

· Genuine enthusiasm, personal warmth, and high energy level

Additional Requirements:

· Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment

· Subject to a Child Protection Services screening prior to employment

· Subject to a MSDE Employment History Review screening for Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct

· Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required
