The Materials Scheduling Associate will support the material planning function to manage the JIT program, optimize inventory, and minimize the impact of part outages on operations. This position will also manage the cycle counting of the warehouse and improvement activities.

Key Accountabilities

• Order JIT materials and manage appropriate inventory levels

• Work directly with Planner and Specialist on materials ordering, issues, and continuous improvement projects
• Communicate with operations on shortages, anticipated shortages, expediting status, etc.
• Research and coordinate special order needs when necessary.
• Participate in corrective action processing of supplier quality issues.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.

Education & Experience

• Experience with Friedman system preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to modify formulas, import and export data, filter data, set up pivot tables)
• 2+ years related experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with integrated materials / production systems (MRP, ERP) preferred.
