Universal Logistics is hiring a Material Handler Lead out of our Houston, TX location. We service an exciting, growing customer. Help manage the team that organizes our storage areas and maintains accurate inventory. Lead a team to prepare and fulfil orders fast and correctly so we can provide high-quality customer service.

We Offer:

Pay: $27.00/hr to $30.00/hr (depending on experience)

Shift: Mon-Fri, 7am to 4pm

Job Duties:

Coordinate parts movement

Fulfilling Stocked Parts Requests/External Shipment Requests as they come in

Kitting for your respective location

Respond to inquires in Inventory Management Support Channel to
support company needs

General Cleaning and Organization(5s)

Print and attach part number labels to new product as it comes in

Verify stock levels of commonly used supplies for shipping to ensure
proper packaging is always available

Hand off parts directly to technicians or stage in hot parts
racks for replacements or repairs if the AV is not in the facility

Requirements:

Knowledge of distribution and shipping methods

Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position

Basic computer knowledge including excel and warehouse management systems

Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job e.g. standing for long periods of time, lifting boxes less than 35 lbs.)

Availability to occasionally work overtime

Experience in packaging material to ensure safe delivery to its final destination

Proven experience leading a team of employees

Ability to organize and coordinate activities and staff schedules to ensure fulfillment goals are met
