William’s Handcrafted is a small custom cabinet shop in Richmond, VA. We do top quality woodwork with a focus on pre-finished custom cabinetry and architectural woodwork. We operate in a historic workshop located on beautiful Tuckahoe Plantation.
Job Summary:
William’s Handcrafted is looking to hire a master cabinetmaker. Job duties will include building cabinets based on shop drawings, tuning and maintaining tools, milling hardwood, installing all trypes of Blum and Rev-A-Shelf hardware, and installing casework on site. Great candidates will be able to build an entire project with little to no guidance other than shop drawings. Cabinetmaker will operate all shop tools including a sliding table saw, line boring machine, pocket hole cutter, Blum mini press, and multiple shapers.
Compensation:
Negotiable, Generally starting at $18-$25/hour
Benefits:
- 10 days paid time off after 2000 hours
- Ability to use shop for personal projects
Qualifications:
Candidates must have 5 years of woodworking experience. Familiarity with spray finishes and AAA spray rigs a plus.
Applicants must:
- Be able to safely operate all standard shop tools
- Be able to read a ruler
- Be able to lift 100lbs
- Be able to read shop drawings
- Work unsupervised
- Have reliable transportation
- Follow both written and oral directions
