BASIC FUNCTION OF JOB
The Marketing Leader responsibilities include overseeing internet and digital marketing programs, e-mail marketing, e-commerce marketing, online advertising, web analytics, search engine optimization, viral marketing, Corporate social media presence and overall website strategy. Integrates online marketing efforts with overall corporate marketing campaigns and brand imaging. Responsible for developing long-range online marketing plans for the company, translating the overall strategy into tactical plans to achieve the company’s goals and objectives.
In addition to digital marketing accountability, this role has responsibility for overseeing strategic planning, development and implementation and measurement of all marketing messaging programs promoting business plans, management communications and the company products aligning with sales and business objectives. Direct partnerships with management, business units, sales, outside agencies or other stakeholders for a unified messaging strategy. Manage media placement decisions. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
WORK PERFORMED
Job duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Accountability and oversight of the implementation of growth marketing campaigns, with a focus on content marketing, social media marketing, and paid advertising.
- Create and accountable for strategic roadmap of all corporate marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate directly with top leadership and routinely provide a better experience ensuring that consumer expectations, launches of new products and personal branding necessities are on schedule.
- Create brand marketing campaigns (in collaboration with the relevant internal team) that will be aimed at increasing brand awareness and engaging with existing audiences.
- Stay on top of the latest trends and emergent issues in our industry (business model changes, new tools, products, and features)
- Leverage analytic tools during market research to find ways to enhance the company’s marketing efforts.
- Ensure the company blog, social media accounts, and website are continuously updated and optimized to provide a great user experience.
- Compile performance reports to brief executive leadership on marketing initiatives and product performance and provide recommendations on improvement strategies.
- Owns, develops, and manages key messages to ensure consistent, relevant, and timely delivery of communication material.
- Planning and hosting conferences, shows, webinars (online and in-person)
- Owns marketing communication strategy to include company messaging, planning/designing for corporate presentations, videos, and booths.
- Manages development of content and creative across print and digital channels (i.e., presentations, advertising, video, web, direct marketing, collateral)
- Directs design staff to create multimedia that conform to brand and company visual format.
- Manages web copy to maintain freshness of company web sites.
- Defines corporate writing standards.
- Designs the corporate communications curriculum, develops course materials, and trains employees on business communication best practices and writing standards.
- Manages and keeps multiple stakeholders at all levels of the company informed of progress, and highlights and manages communications interdependencies, issues, and risks.
- Manages production schedules by determining decisions’ impact on deliverables and schedules, communicating change in scope, and gaining consensus and approvals.
- Recruits, trains, manages, and coaches team members for optimal performance and career development.
- Set the team’s direction so it aligns with corporate goals (in collaboration with the program directors).
- Assign and supervise projects to ensure that team members are meeting deadlines, adhering to standards, and following processes and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Expertise with SEO and analytical tools for marketers, such as Google Analytics, Google Trends, and Semrush
- Expertise in analytical tools such as (Google Analytics, Think with Google, and Google Trends)
- Proven track record of successful content strategy and growth campaigns
- Experience with project management software (Microsoft Project, Teams)
- Experience hiring, training, managing, and directing a team.
- Excellent research, interpretive, writing, editing, proofreading, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of a wide variety of communications tools and how to use new/emerging technologies for communications purposes.
- Proficiency with software applications including MS Outlook, Power Point, Excel, etc.
- Familiarity with html, web design and editing and video editing tools, an advantage.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels in the organization.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field is required for the position. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing leadership role. Master’s degree is preferred.
