SUMMARY:
The Copywriter will perform a variety of marketing functions to support the efforts of the department and organization by collaborating with key stakeholders and compliance teams to develop clear and concise messaging that engages our members and prospective members
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are essential functions of this position but are subject to change based on operating necessity.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and compliance teams to understand project needs, objectives, and target audience.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and compliance teams to develop effective consistent brand messaging across all internal communications.
- Write creative and compelling content across a variety of channels.
- Be familiar with current search engine optimized and conversion-optimized keyword copywriting for websites, landing pages, banners, and social media.
- Ability to publish content across a variety of platforms.
- Stay current on financial industry trends for local peers and competitors.
- Ability to multitask and meet established deadlines.
- Utilize SSSCU's content marketing strategy, brand guidelines, style guide, and content typology.
- Be familiar with credit union compliance rules as it impacts printing, publications and direct mail. (FCRA, Reg DD, Reg C, Reg B, and Reg Z, etc).
- Assist the Marketing Department as needed for events, functions, and jobs as assigned to support and ensure the success of the department and,
subsequently, the Credit Union. - Perform other functions as assigned.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in Writing, English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications and/or related work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of copywriting experience
- Understanding of keyword research, Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Nevada Driver's License or reliable mode of transportation.
