Ancestry is seeking a self-motivated and detail oriented candidate with a strong mix of technical ability and email marketing experience to join our marketing production team. This individual will be responsible for executing day-to-day operational tasks including segmenting customer data, creating email assets, QA, implement feedback and deploy promotional and informative email campaigns and programs using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You should expect to collaborate often with multiple departments to improve retention and support customer research by ensuring that email initiatives are complete, on-time, and executed with a high degree of accuracy and effectiveness.

What you will do:

• Support the operations of the CRM channel working with marketing managers to create email campaigns, newsletters, and automated programs through Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Create and execute push notifications as another means of communication to our customers

• Build, test, and deploy complex email campaigns that include a combination of A/B tests, audience splits, and dynamic personalization. Enhance existing HTML for mobile-responsive emails via HTML, CSS and AmpScript.

• Create complex segmentation lists using SQL logic and queries in Salesforce Marketing Cloud

• Perform QA tests to ensure links, images, subject lines, and segmentation lists function properly and email renders accurately across various email clients using Everest by Validity

• Monitor email performance and strategize new ways to increase engagement through messaging and design

• Perform other duties as assigned or required

Who You Are:

• Minimum 2 years email marketing experience preferred

• Advanced understanding and practical application of email marketing platforms. Experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with HTML, SQL and AmpScript

• Extremely detail-orientet, but still able to see the big picture

• Proven record of problem solving and successful completion of complex projects

• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills, willing to collaborate cross-team, self-motivated, energetic and has a "work hard play hard" attitude in this fast-moving environment

• Eager to bring knowledge and experiences of email marketing best practices and trends to improve our team and is always seeking ways to self improve by learning from others

• Versatile/flexible, can manage competing demands and prioritize effectively

• Strong organizational skills and is capable of balancing multiple projects at the same time in different stages of the process

• B.A. or B.S. preferred
  
  As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $55,000-65,000 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
