Conyers is an Atlanta suburb and the only city in Rockdale County, Georgia. The city is 24 miles east of downtown Atlanta and is a part of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 15,195. The city is the county seat of Rockdale County.
The plant was acquired by Pactiv in 2003, manufactures PET and Polypropylene Lids & ESL Trays, and has approximately 180 employees. The Conyers plant was awarded Pactiv safety plant of the year 2018, Foodservice BU Environmental plant of the year 2019.

Compensation:
- Starting Rate $15.50
- Shift Differential $2.00 shift diff for nights
- Sign-On Bonus $1,000
- Pay Competitive starting pay rate based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
This role oversees all packaging with essential duties that include inspecting, packing, stacking and wrapping pallets. In this role, you will ensure that all product meets quality standards.
JOB DUTIES:
- Packages materials and products manually and/or by using packaging equipment from a table to towline cart.
- Ensure correct, quality, assembly, and packaging of finished goods.
- Assist line operations maintaining quality of product.
- Maintains a safe, clean work area and follows all established safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Bags and packs product into boxes both manually and using packaging equipment.
- Stacks and wraps boxes on distribution tow cart.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing all other task or duties as assigned.
- Positions and mounts unwind stand with polystyrene material, and replenish boxes/packaging material in production area.
- Train new packaging associates to perform job tasks correctly and safely.
- Observes new packaging associate safety regulations including personal protective equipment and the use of machinery.
Qualifications:
- Manual Dexterity
- Excellent communication skills
- Hand/eye coordination
- Math Skills (calculators to determine and record production data)
- Knowledge of product quality standards
- Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred
- Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
- Ability to follow standard work instructions is required
