Job Purpose:

The Manufacturing Operations Manager will oversee order support, business enablement, supervision of manufacturing associates, manufacturing operations, and procurement. This person will regularly meet with the leadership team to discuss and collaborate on business goals, strategies, and objectives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct daily activities for order support to include facilitating sales, problem solving, removing barriers, setting terms of customer payment, creating/analyzing/tracking metrics.
  • Responsible for managing job order, order entry process, facilities, operations, procurement, as well as serving on the leadership team and attending leadership L10 meetings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that we are consistently meeting or exceeding the quality standards of TTP.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality and revenue.
  • Provide leadership, management, and motivation to attain high levels of associate achievement and retention.
  • Supervision of direct associates to include techs, billing, and warehouse.
  • Accomplish manufacturing associates results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Business enablement by partnering with, what are incoming opportunities, are the opportunities worth pursuing, viability of the operations associated with new customers and/or business.
  • Focus on the safety, quality, and productivity of manufacturing associates.
  • Develop and recommend improvements of facilities, equipment, or procedures to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of related management experience in manufacturing operations capacity.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills to ensure work schedules are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task well; ability to work independently and with other functional areas; attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, be pro-active, and follow-through on work assigned by organizing, prioritizing, and staying on task.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of organizational users inside/outside of the manufacturing operations and in a multitude of settings; face-to-face, phone, and email.
  • Displays positive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Possesses exceptional process improvement ability.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, and occasionally bend and move about the facility and ability to occasionally lift to 50 lbs.
