Job Description Summary

AAM's Manufacturing Engineers Implement manufacturing techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize machining efficiency. Manufacturing Engineers resolves issues with design, manufacturability, and build sequences, ensuring production-part acceptance and manufacturing readiness within the machining group.

Job Description

  • Manages day-to-day activities of assigned manufacturing processes

  • Works with multi-functional teams to accomplish production targets

  • Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources

  • Improves cost efficiency by studying operations; designing and conducting improvement studies.

  • Develops, maintains and ensures compliance with process control plans, quality assurance plans, and procedures

  • Establishes and maintains various methods to control critical features and processes; monitors and analyzes data to determine solutions

  • Maintain documentation related to manufacturing process (process prints, tooling prints, work instructions)

  • Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications as needed

  • Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines

  • Other duties as required

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline from accredited university/college or equivalent industry experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience from industry or participation in collegiate engineering, internships/co-ops, and/or research projects

  • Experience operating CNC machines preferred
