Lockheed Martin Space in John C. Stennis Space Center, MS, is seeking a full-time Early Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the technical documents associated with the fabrication and assembly of large-scale spacecraft, identifying opportunities for improvement using lean techniques, and managing the production process flow. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools, project management, and working with Bills of Materials, Technical Drawings, and Manufacturing Work Instructions. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or manufacturing engineering preferred)
Work or classroom experience with production manufacturing and assembly processes, and interpreting engineering drawings to create work instructions.
Work or classroom experience with engineering drawings, bills of materials, and production planning.
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to receive a Public Trust security clearance as needed
Desired Skills:
Previous internship or Co-Op experience in a manufacturing environment.
Basic OSHA or safety knowledge
Work or classroom experience in manufacturing processes, manufacturing flow, production planning, or supporting production activities.
Work or classroom experience with producing technical documentation for technicians/operators.
Project Planning and execution experience
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as CreoParametric, CreoView, EdgeCAM.
Good verbal and written communication including technical writing. Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and reports. Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software suite, Excel in particular.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
