About the Role:
The Manager, Video and Programmatic Media (VPM) position is an opportunity to take the next step at a fast-growing company that has the highest standards for talent, fun, and client success. Their role will play a pivotal part in helping Ovative continue our journey toward measuring and optimizing paid media to the true enterprise impact, not solely ecommerce impacts.
Digital Marketing is a critical part of every consumer journey, but many companies only measure its impact on their digital outcomes. Our approach to digital optimization at Ovative Group can’t be found anywhere else. We measure and optimize Video and Audio campaigns at the enterprise level, both online and offline.
Responsibilities of a Video and Programmatic Media Manager:
- Cross-functional strategy & thought leadership:
- Act as a subject matter expert for Video, Audio, and Display strategies, both programmatically and direct. This includes channels such as TV, CTV, OLV, YouTube, Radio, Streaming Audio, Display & Native. Work to continually evolving Ovative’s approach to best practices, vetting and partnering with new technology companies and partners, managing planning and execution tools, and staying on top of emerging trends.
- Develop strategies and approaches to achieve media plan objectives, including but not limited to developing over-arching strategic approach materials for assigned clients; followed by tactical planning within channels like TV/Radio (linear, advanced, addressable), CTV, Streaming Audio, Podcasts, OLV, YouTube, Display and Native
- Understand and find synergies across media channels within the client mix in partnership with other team members
- Media management & execution:
- Lead day-to-day management, execution and optimization of clients Video, Audio, and Display programs including:
- Clearly defining program objectives, tactics, and KPIs
- Developing and delivering client communication and detailed media recommendations
- Build channel-specific strategies for clients
- Lead tactical planning and execution, including segmentation build-out, optimization approaches, and testing roadmaps
- Campaign planning, strategy, and plan documentation
- Campaign tactics, audience build-out, and optimization
- DSP Algorithmic and manual bidding strategy and optimization
- Test ideation, planning, and management
- Analysis, reporting, and insights
- Creative management and trafficking execution
- Inventory management
- Strategic partner management
- Ad Verification Tool strategy
- Analytics and measurement
- Management of complex budget documents/flowcharts, tracking across channels and actualizing on regular cadence that satisfies client needs
- Maintain productive relationships with media outlets, keeping up to date on local and national media developments and changes in the landscape
- Continuously reassess strategic plans, pivot as needed based on learnings and optimization strategy as well as changes to clients’ business and the media landscape
- Lead day-to-day management, execution and optimization of clients Video, Audio, and Display programs including:
- Client relationship management:
- Lead day-to-day management of client Video, Audio, Display, and programmatic programs including:
- Clearly defining program objectives, tactics and KPIs
- Developing and delivering client communication
- Build strategies for clients and lead tactical planning and execution
- Effectively manage & grow client relationship and establish trust and credibility
- Effectively influence client stakeholders to evolve strategies and measurement approach to drive enterprise impact through VPM channels
- Team leadership and employee development:
- Manage work independently with initial direction from leadership
- Meeting ownership
- Regularly speak up, ask questions, and express your POV
- Recruit, train, and manage new Ovative team members
- Foster a culture of open communication and 360-degree feedback
- Inspire your team and direct reports to reach their quarterly, annual, and long-term goals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience directly responsible for enterprise-level Video/Audio Advertising or related programs with digital video expertise across YouTube, online video, display, and/or CTV
- At least 1+ years of experience managing direct reports
- Great communication and client relationship skills
- Proven track record of driving strong positive results through video, audio, and/or programmatic channels
- Sound conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
Preferred
- Strong traditional AND digital video/audio experience
- Previous experience in performance marketing, retail, eCommerce, etc.
- Tool experience including: SQAD, Nielsen, Strata Freewheel, Kantar, MRI/Simmons, The Trade Desk, Google Ads
Pay Transparency
At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below.
For our Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $79,000 to $132,000, which is inclusive of a 20% bonus.
