Manager, Software Asset and Vendor Management
Full Time Perm
Shift: Hybrid – 2 days onsite & 3 days remote or Fully Remote
Location: Columbus, OH, Merrillville, IN, or Remote
The Manager of Software Asset Management and Operational Governance is accountable for managing the compliance of outsourced services for NiSource IT and software assets.
This role works closely with the Service Providers, software vendors, NiSource senior leadership, appropriate Service Provider Delivery Managers, Supply Chain and NiSource IT departments to ensure that Services and software assets are provided within the scope of the Service contracts, the statements of work, software contracts and/or pertinent schedules/exhibits.
This role also works with the IT personnel aligned with both corporate and business units to ensure any contract compliance issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory fashion.
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Ensure NiSource’s compliance with software assets terms and usage

Facilitate the response to all software audits

Ensure software renewals align with NiSource’s initiatives such as diverse spending, IT Strategic roadmap, etc.

Facilitates the sourcing of the renewal of Software assets working with the software owner for requirements, vendors for initial negotiations and Supply Chain for final contracting terms

Define and manage services scope, service levels and performance metrics that effectively support NiSource IT requirements

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of RU reports and other financial aspects of Services performed by outsourced service providers.

Participate in regular governance discipline (relationship, contractual, performance & financial) meetings with the Service Providers and provide governance updates to NiSource IT leaders, as required

Govern the Monthly Governance Review Board meeting with key Service Providers to strengthen collaboration, address performance deficiencies, and develop mitigation plan
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
-
6+ years of experience in IT Managed Service Provider and/or contract management
-
6+ years of direct management experience
-
Financial acumen and experience in managing cross IT departmental budgets and forecasting
Preferred Qualifications
-
Familiarity with the Energy Industry
-
ITIL V3 or V4 certification is a plus
