Job description

The Manager of Nuclear Medicine and Vascular Interventional Radiology is responsible for managing the clinical and operational activities of the respective departments. Exercises critical thinking skills toward decision making which effectively addresses personnel management, use of resources, quality of services and fiscal management of the Vascular Interventional Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Sections of diagnostic imaging. Plans, directs and coordinates the work of assigned staff who participate in providing diagnostic testing procedures. Is responsible to provide a high quality education program for incumbent staff. Supports designated student training program(s) for the department by assuring the training program meet compliance standards, policies and procedures outlined by various approving agencies.

Requirements:

• Completion of a formal, accredited training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology is required. Knowledge of Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging procedures is preferred. Current and valid license to practice in the State of Rhode Island is required.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist.
• Three or more years of supervisory experience and the ability to demonstrate sufficient skills and knowledge to support the scope of responsibilities outlined above.
